Questions
Which plan should I pick?
If you're happy creating an OpenAI account and adding a few pounds of credit, Own Key is cheapest for big libraries. If you just want it to work, choose Managed.
Is it the same plugin for both plans?
Yes. There's one plugin. Your licence key tells it which plan you're on.
The plugin is a free download, so do I need to pay?
Yes. Anyone can download it, but it won't process any images until you paste a licence key from your purchase email. That's true on both plans, including Own Key.
Could I end up paying twice?
No. On the Managed plan the plugin won't let you save an OpenAI key as well, so you can never be billed by us and by OpenAI for the same images.
Is the OpenAI API free?
No. ChatGPT has a free tier but the API does not. Own Key users need to add prepaid credit (e.g. $5) at platform.openai.com.
What happens if I cancel?
Your licence keeps working until the end of the period you've paid for.
Can I switch plans?
Yes, at any time. The change happens straight away and the price difference is charged or credited.
