The big difference: own your costs

AltText.ai sells credits, so you pay them for every image. With our Own Key plan you pay £49 a year for the licence and connect your own OpenAI key, paying OpenAI directly at cost (typically a fraction of a penny per image). For large media libraries, that can be dramatically cheaper.

Prefer not to deal with API keys?

Our Managed plan works like a credit service: from £3 a month for 100 images, or £12 for 1,000, no OpenAI account needed.

More than just alt text

Alt-Text-Image-Meta also writes image titles, captions, descriptions and hover tooltips, so your whole Media Library is tidy, not just one field.
